For enquiries, collaborations, and letters. This is the one place to reach me directly — not a contact funnel, but a desk. Write about the work, the writing, a commission, or simply because something here stayed with you. I read everything that arrives, and I answer it myself.

A few words is enough; a long letter is welcome too. There is no right length and no wrong reason. I will reply when I can, by hand, and not before I have actually read what you sent.

A reply when I can manage one, and not before. I read everything; I answer slowly, and by hand.

Anything that should go through a publisher belongs there. Anything urgent or transactional belongs elsewhere.
